Trimeresurus septentrionalis sensu stricto includes specimens from central/western Nepal and the western Himalayas in India, while T. albolabris sensu stricto includes specimens from China (including the island of Hainan) and northeastern Vietnam (as determined in the analysis in Fig. 6).
