This corrigendum addresses an error in the recent taxonomic revision of Notropisstramineus presented by Pinion et al. (2025). In that publication, Figure 6 included the name Notropis (M.) telescopus linked to the voucher specimen KU 29326. As explained in the text (p. 748) this voucher specimen, which is also the source of a publicly available mitogenome (GenBank AP012100.1), was re-identified as N. (M.) boops prior to the publication of Pinion et al. (2025) and is referred to under that name in their Table S2. The name “Notropis (M.) telescopus” in Figure 6 of Pinion et al. (2025) should therefore be replaced with “Notropis (M.) boops”. The authors thank Michael Sandel for pointing out this error. A corrected version of the figure is shown below.
